Julia is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She recognizes the inherent worth and uniqueness of each person or family that she works with, and is whole-heartedly committed to accompanying those who choose to work with her on an empowering healing journey. Her eclectic, client-centred approach provides an opportunity for clients to engage and commit to change. Using Interpersonal Neurobiology as her framework for understanding human behaviour, her approach is multidisciplinary and holistic in nature. She uses multiple modalities with clients, including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Integrative Therapy.
She has been working in mental health services for two decades and believes that all human beings have an innate power to heal themselves that comes from within. Blending mental, emotional and somatic (body-oriented) therapies is central to her services for the purpose of promoting nervous system regulation resulting in improved mood, focus, vitality, and overall quality of life and relationships. With compassionate support, skills development and practice anyone can change their life by tapping into their inner healing forces.
